The Marina Manager is responsible for a wide array of tasks to ensure that our customer's experience at the marina is second to none. The responsibilities will vary with the seasons; during the boating season the individual will be involved primarily reservations and collecting payments, while in the off season the focus will be customer development.
As a Marina Manager, you help to ensure that boats arrive and depart successfully. You also make sure that issues related to the dock are appropriately handled. Reservations will need to be made and verified as well as securing deposits and payments. High level of comfort and knowledge walking the grounds and ensuring that boats are docked correctly as well as Marina/Boating equipment knowledge.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
• Assume responsibility for all paperwork related to seasonal dockage contracts.
• Assure effective waterfront staff coverage, qualifications, appearance and adherence to established procedures.
• Working in the ship store while being helpful and friendly to customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and sanitation policies
Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with customers
• Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets
• Reliable with good time management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work
• Enjoys working with the public to provide exceptional customer service
