Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect residential roofs, siding, and gutters to assess damage and determine necessary repairs or replacements needed.
- Provide detailed, accurate estimates and plans for repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure all roofing operations comply with safety and building code standards.
- Drive company vehicle to various job sites as required by the company's schedule and commitments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain the process and provide updates on the progress of repairs or installations.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest roofing techniques and products.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper stocking of the company vehicle and equipment.
- Assist in the collection of payments and signing of contracts
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofing Technician or similar role in the roofing industry.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong ability to assess roofing, siding, and gutter issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Excellent skills in providing customer-focused service and solutions.
- Solid understanding of the latest building regulations and safety standards related to roofing and exteriors.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the job including lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in sales or customer service is considered an asset.
