What's the job?:
89-Paint is one of greater-Richmond's best painting contractors. We're looking for talented craftspeople to add to our production team in order to deliver a high quality experience and outcome. This position is managing painting/carpentry projects. Working knowledge of this or a related field(s) is preferred, but not required.
This job will provide concierge level service to clients. Actively bridge the gap between the Production Manager and paint crews to ensure a smooth process. Acts as the main point of contact for clients and crews during a project. Manages paint crews to ensure a quality product and efficient use of time.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
Receives work orders from the Production Manager and communicates the work order with the paint/carpentry crew via email.
Actively manages their team’s production schedule and communicates it to the Production Manager.
Negotiates payment terms with trade partners when necessary.
Schedules pre-job walkthroughs with the client and crew.
Communicates actual start dates/times with the client and crew.
Serves as the main point of contact throughout the project and communicates daily with the client and crews to ensure a smooth process.
Actively manages 89-Paint crews and/or subcontractors to ensure that projects run on budget. This is primarily done by:
visiting job sites and encouraging/training efficient work methods
reviewing hours
reviewing photos
review and provide change order information to sales person if necessary
provide supplemental labor as needed
Ensuring materials are managed appropriately. Utilize all available vendors and delivery resources.
Schedules and performs daily and final walkthroughs.
Notifies Accounting that projects are ready to invoice once the final walkthrough has been conducted.
Communicates status and details of production communication tools.
Record and report all personnel performance metrics and all issues to the Production Manager and Owners on a regular basis.
Take an active leadership role in getting jobs done, on time, on budget, and making customers happy!
Education/skills required:
Excellent communication skills (across all platforms)
Friendly, positive, and professional Attitude
Proficient in Google and/or Microsoft Suite
Excellent time management skills
Self-motivated
Logical and quick problem solver
Eternal student
Management experience preferred
