As a Lawn Care Crew Member at K&B Lawn and Landscaping, you will join a dynamic team known for quality and excellence in lawn care. The position is Full-Time and based in our facilities; please note it is Not a Remote Job. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of lawn care and delivering exceptional results for both residential and commercial clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of lawn care machinery and equipment including mowers, edgers, and blowers.
- Maintain and care for commercial and residential lawns by mowing, edging, seeding, and aerating.
- Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulching, planting, and flower care.
- Assist in the design and implementation of landscape plans.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance duties such as cleaning equipment, sharpening tools, and making minor repairs.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, goals, and safety protocols.
- Communicate with clients, team members, and supervisors effectively regarding job status and client concerns.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lawn care and landscaping.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within allocated time frames to meet client expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping or lawn care maintenance preferred.
- Ability to operate various lawn care tools and machinery safely and proficiently.
- Knowledge of horticulture, turf management, and basic landscaping principles.
- Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Excellent observational and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in horticulture or related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Attention to detail and dedication to safety practices.
- Availability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
