HR Manager- start up experience required

Job Description:

 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in start-up environments, excellent relationship building skills, and significant experience in skill trades, construction, or manufacturing industries. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth and success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders to foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the leadership team, including coaching and mentoring team members to support their professional development.
  4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA.
  5. Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  6. Oversee payroll and benefits administration processes, working closely with finance and administrative teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  7. Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute workforce planning strategies, including talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  9. Maintain HR records and documentation, including employee files, performance evaluations, and training records.

 

Qualifications:

 

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position in HR, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment.

2. Strong experience with skill trades, construction, or manufacturing industries is highly desirable.

3. Excellent consulting skills, with the ability to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

4. Proven track record in compliance, including knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

5. Experience in setting up and scaling HR departments is a plus.

6. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

7. SHRM certification is strongly preferred.
