Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. Additionally, the Controller will play a key role in managing HR operations.
Controller Responsibilities
Financial Operations:
- Finance Operations: Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial performance metrics for management and stakeholders.
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, and implement strategies to mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control company expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Audit and Taxation: Coordinate external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
HR Operations:
- HR Strategy: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Talent Acquisition: Work with hiring managers to fill open positions, including screening and interviewing potential candidates.
- Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant HR laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in HR regulations and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and facilitating effective communication between management and staff.
Controller Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3 plus years of proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, with a track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial software systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance professionals.
