The full-time Accounting Generalist position works directly with the Director of Finance and is responsible for all finance and accounting as well as some HR operations.

Accounting Generalist Functions

The following are essential functions of the job, but are not all-inclusive:

• Enforce current policies while looking to improve outdated/inefficient processes
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of accounting records
• Maintain company accounting systems, records, and functions including accounts receivable, billing, and collections
• Maintain current aging through consistent and firm collection efforts
• Provide accurate and timely invoices to customers based on contract entry
• Process invoices for vendors in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain a culture of teamwork and support in the department
• Build and manage working relationships with both internal and external customer bases to provide the highest quality of service
• Complete Monthly reconciliation for key Balance Sheet accounts
• Handling month-end activities assigned by the Director of Accounting
• Entering new hires into HR system
• Answering HR-related questions

Accounting Generalist Requirements

• B.S. Degree and 2+ years’ experience in a related field
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong financial and analytical acumen
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
