Oral Surgery Team Lead

Salary Range:  $22.00 - $25.00 hour

We are looking for a full-time Oral Surgery Team Lead to join our team and focus on the oral surgery team! We are a fast-growing practice, looking for a compassionate, detailed oriented and organized candidate to join our team. 

Our oral surgeon works clinically 2 days per week between our Canandaigua, Victor and West Henrietta offices. He specializes in all aspects of oral surgery, focusing on patient care and creating an exceptional experience for our patients. The Oral Surgery Team Lead would assist patients with understanding the financial impact of their treatment needs along with maintaining a productive and efficient schedule for the entire team. The Oral Surgery Team Lead position is a full-time position - working 4 days per week! 

Our ideal candidate for this position will have some experience with dental procedures, dental insurance and treatment planning. They will have exceptional customer service & communication skills, be friendly & compassionate and organized & thorough.

When the surgeon is in the office (2 days per week)

  • Greet and guide patients through the surgical consultation and financial discussion process.

  • Review treatment plans and explain costs, payment options and insurance benefits. 

  • Coordinate scheduling for all patient appointments.

  • Ensure proper documentation and consent forms are completed. 

  • Resolve any day to day questions with the help of your Regional Manager. 

  • Provide clear post-operative instructions and help answer any patient questions. 

  • Lead end of day team wrap up meetings. 


On non-surgical days (2 days per week)

  • Manager and monitor the oral surgeon’s schedule and fill as needed. 

  • Follow up with patients on outstanding treatment plans, payments or questions. 

  • Handle post-operative calls and respond to concerns related to recovery with the help of the oral surgeon. 

  • Communicate with referring offices for records, referrals, biopsy results and treatment completed. 

  • Support patients with next steps following surgery

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year experience in a dental office.

Schedule for this position will be as follows:

West Henrietta Office:

            Second and Fourth Monday        6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Canandaigua Office:

            First and Third Monday                6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

            Tuesday                                            6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

            Thursday                                          6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Victor Office:

             Friday                                                 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The expectation is that you will stay until patients have been dismissed, and end of day responsibilities are completed. You may be required to stay after patients on Mondays or Fridays to do complete training.

Hourly Rate:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
