Must assist Hygienists in seating patients and sterilizing and disinfecting rooms and instruments.
Multi-tasker who can assist the team with running their schedule smoothly and giving the patients the best possible experience.
Responsibilities and Duties include following proper standard precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.
Manage sterilization processes: Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, dental supplies, and equipment and assembles, wraps, and sterilizes trays of instruments. Monitors biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment. Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and promptly makes them available to dental providers. Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory. Performs environmental maintenance duties and maintains inventory levels in sterile processing, dental treatment rooms, and equipment storage areas.Verifies that equipment functions properly. Maintains a clean work area.
Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards.
General responsibilities: Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees. Use sound judgment in patient communication. Provide backup for other auxiliary staff when needed.
Team functions: Maintain and improve professional and technical knowledge. Works in compliance with all medical policies and standards, such as OSHA and HIPPA. Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Exercises good judgment in bringing any issues necessary to the manager's attention. Constantly strives to achieve excellence in the day-to-day operations of North Creek Dental Care.
Qualifications and Skills: Demonstrates understanding of the overall purpose of clinical care and the importance of support staff. Able to demonstrate judgment, patience, integrity, organization, and prioritization in a multi-task environment. Needs to have attention to detail, dependability, listening and communication skills, and flexibility.
