Dental Assistant

Salary Range:  $22 - $30 hour

A typical month will include single appointment crowns made with CEREC in the office, surgeries, IV sedations, implants, clear aligners with Sure Smile, endodontics, operative fillings, dentures, patient education and more.

Our team consists of two owner-dentists with designated front office and back clinical team members. Your role will be Dr. Soult’s dental assistant Monday – Thursday and then fulfilling the sterilization role on Fridays.

Hours: 

  • Monday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday – Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • One hour lunch break on Monday and Tuesday!

Chairside Assisting Duties:

  • Primary dental assistant for Dr. Soult Monday - Thursday
  • Digital scanning with CEREC Primescan, and alginate impressions 
  • One appointment crown milling management, polishing, glazing
  • Procedures to assist: digital dentistry, one appointment crowns, endodontics, surgeries, IV sedation, nitrous, dentures, among others
  • Patient charting, documentation, x-rays, CBCT imaging
  • Treatment room turnover 
  • Backup chairside assistant for Dr. Sanders in some circumstances
  • Maintaining digital equipment, cleaning, calibrating and changing water

Sterilization:

  • Your primary role on Fridays will be the sterilization assistant
  • Sterilize and disinfect equipment and instruments for the office
  • Prepare tables and trays for dentists with necessary instruments, materials and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CDC and OSHA guidelines
  • Enter numbers for hygienists during perio charting
  • Help clinical team turn over treatment rooms between patients

Supplies:

  • Maintain steady inventory of supplies, tissue and instruments
  • Work closely with team members to ensure appropriate and adequate clinical supplies are available
  • Be familiar with the ordering systems of our office

Lab duties:

  • Traditional wet lab techniques pouring and trimming models, Vaccuform/ESSIX retainers, making custom trays
  • Removing sprues from milling blocks, polishing, glazing crowns and implant crowns
