This opportunity doesn’t come often, as our current team member has been in this position for 27 years of wonderful service! Having a heart for service is essential to this role, as you will sterilize instruments for patient care, support team members with patient information, assist dentists directly with patient care, perform basic dental lab procedures, interact with patients, and turnover treatment rooms. You will be essential to our team, with the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and team members. There is opportunity to grow this role into managing the digital CAD/CAM milling and 3D printing processes!

You will be the primary sterilization technician; in addition, you will be responsible for providing patients with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care services. You will not have front office duties or expectations.

Hours: 

• Monday - Thursday 8:15 am - 6:15 pm
• Required to work some Fridays to cover for other team members' vacations

Sterilization (Primary Role):

• Sterilize and disinfect equipment and instruments for the office
• Prepare tables and trays for dentists with necessary instruments, materials and supplies
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CDC and OSHA guidelines

Supply Ordering:

• Maintain steady inventory of supplies and instruments
• Work closely with team members to ensure appropriate and adequate clinical supplies are available

Chairside Assisting Duties:

• Patient charting, documentation and taking x-rays
• Chair turnover – clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed
• Backup chairside assistant for doctors with all dental procedures and patient charting
• Occasionally will welcome patients and get them seated in the appropriate treatment rooms

Lab duties:

• Traditional wet lab techniques pouring and trimming models, ESSIX/Vacuform retainers
• Growth opportunity to manage the CAD/CAM design and fabrication. No 3D printing yet, but this would be 3D manipulation of models, and printing/processing models
