Electrical Project Manager

Salary Range:  $80000 - $120000 year

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee interior and exterior lighting repair and retrofit projects for our electrical contracting company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of lighting projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and client communication. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Preparation:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of lighting repair and retrofit projects to identify project scope, requirements, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including work schedules, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.

Project Execution and Management:

  • Lead and manage all phases of lighting repair and retrofit projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to allocate resources and ensure timely project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and manage project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Client Relations:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and any changes.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering potential future business opportunities.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation, cost tracking, and cost control.
  • Monitor project expenses and take appropriate actions to keep projects within budget.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and vendor/supplier contracts to ensure accuracy and adherence to project budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical or construction industry, with a focus on lighting repair and retrofit projects.
  • Strong knowledge of interior and exterior lighting systems, including LED technology, controls, and energy efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
