24th Street Dental Biltmore is a family owned general and cosmetic dental practice located by Biltmore Fashion Park. We are different to most dental practices as we are privately owned and we treat patients like friends and staff like family. We are not run like a large corporate or DSO, this is why all of our staff and patients are happy!  

We are looking for a Lead Dental Assistant with a fun personality and positive energy to work alongside the dentists and lead the clinical team to provide quality care to our patients. You should have strong customer service skills and enjoy delivering great service. Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide oversight, leadership, and mentorship to fellow DA’s 
• Assist in the efficiency and functionality of the department and find ways to improve systems and processes 
• Support many sides of the practice, greeting and guiding patients, and helping out across the office 
• Leads by example and be the go to for all DA's questions and needs 
• Delegates daily tasks as needed and audits them to make sure they are being done 
• Takes others feedback into consideration, before making final decisions where possible
• Can foresee upcoming obstacles and comes up with action plans to address challenges 
• Stay up to date on emails and phone calls 
• Work side by side with dentists in training and mentoring of all DA’s 
• Continues education through online training, books, seminars, etc
• Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures 
• Ordering supplies, lab cases, monitoring equipment upkeep and managing DA scheduling
• Helping to educate patients on oral hygiene strategies, improving oral health, solving dental challenges and creating better smiles every day  
• Other traditional DA activities

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills 
• Great communication and listening skills 
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Licensed as Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions
• Minimum of 6 years experience 
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to follow policies and guidelines 
• Proficient in Dentrix and comfortable working in a fully digital office
