We are accepting applications for 1st shift Shipping/Parts Assembly at our location in Thorntown, IN.  Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  No weekends!

We’re looking for a Shipping/Parts Assembler who loves working in a fast-paced atmosphere alongside others. This person will move between the shipping and assembly departments depending on demand.  To ensure that all products are appropriately packed, wrapped, and loaded as efficiently as possible, applicants should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions. To guarantee that all packages are correctly handled and monitored, they must also utilize scanners and be able to read labels precisely.

Shipping/Parts Assemblers must be able to communicate and comprehend well to be effective.  This employment may also need basic computer abilities.

Shipping/Parts Assembly Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing cartons, crates, and containers for shipment, manually assembling, lining, and padding them.
• Sealing containers using glue, nails, and other fasteners.
• Taping sealing boxes with tape, heat sealers, staple guns, and stretch wrap are the instruments that are used to prepare goods for shipping.
• Picking and pulling parts for ship or assembly.
• Making sure part numbers and order numbers match.
• Updating the master shipping spreadsheet.
• Working as part of a team.
• Reading engineering prints & following instructions to assemble the parts.
• Cleaning the workspace after shifts.

Shipping/Parts Assembly Requirements:

• A high school diploma is required.
• Interpersonal skills are excellent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to communicate straightforwardly and succinctly.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle products in the shipping/assembly departments.
