Customer Service Representative

Kals’s/Midwest Equipment Mfg is hiring a Customer Service Representative.  You will be asked to process orders, modifications, answer consumer questions, and resolve customer complaints for our sister manufacturing company in Indiana.  To do well in this role you need to be able to remain calm when customers are frustrated and have experience working with computers.  This role may also include some bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

 

Monday- Friday  8 am – 5 pm

 

Job Duties

  • Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information
  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls
  • Place orders received via phone, email or website
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem/ expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Maintain financial accounts
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
  • Answer questions about warranties
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiar with CRM systems and practices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Computer Skills
