Midwest Equipment has an immediate opening for an experienced Welder / Fabricator for long-term, full-time employment.
1st Shift Employment - Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am - 11:00 am - Overtime could be required (extended hours on Friday)
Fabricating and welding a variety of custom parts to prints and sketches. Production welding required.
Ideal candidates will have experience in:
Steel fabrication - fabricating carbon, stainless and low alloy steels, blueprint reading and weld symbols, weld joint prep
Welding - Welding machine set-up, mig/tig welding and hardfacing of carbon, stainless and low alloy steels using solid and flux-cored wire. Finishing of welds (chipping, grinding, sanding)
Math and Measurement skills - tape measure, scale, calipers, fillet weld gauge
Problem solving - troubleshooting and decision making
