Full-time or part-time position. We have 2 locations available for hours. We’re hiring a dental hygienist who can help us provide incredible dental care to each of our patients! You’ll conduct preliminary dental exams, help dentists with examinations and procedures, and perform thorough dental cleanings so patients walk out with a smile. This role is perfect for someone who loves to care for people and is highly attuned to detail. We treat a large population of the special needs community in the valley as well. Our dentist has over 35 years of experience in treating patients. His work ranges from implant dentistry, endodontics, restorative care and sedation dentistry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean dental instruments to ensure proper sterilization
• Perform preliminary dental examinations
• Provide all levels of dental cleanings (Prophylaxis, Perio Maintenance, FMD, SRP)
• Determine frequency of recall appointments needed
• Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities
• Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
• Provide patient education regarding good oral hygiene techniques
• Take x-rays (FMX, PANO, BWX, PAs) and intra-oral photos
• Keep detailed records of each patient, update their health history, and take vitals

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dental hygienist; 3+ years is ideal but not necessary
• Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred; Associates degree required
• Current on all required dental hygiene continuing ed
• Current CPR certification required
• Anesthesia certification and expanded functions training is a plus
• Experience with Eaglesoft is a plus
