Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with patients to understand their dental needs and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for dental treatments, ensuring efficient use of the dentist’s time.
  • Discuss treatment plans and provide clear explanations of the benefits and costs involved.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and the financial aspects of their treatment plans.
  • Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and ensure they are informed about upcoming treatments.
  • Manage patient records and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of treatments and transactions.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient treatment progression.
  • Train and oversee the work of junior staff to promote best practices in patient care and office management.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice.
  • Stay current with the latest developments and technologies in dentistry that might benefit the practice.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming office environment to enhance patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or in a similar role within a dental practice.
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong ethical approach to patient care.
  • Competence in using dental software programs and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in dental coordination and management.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to educate and motivate patients concerning their treatment options.
