Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support to The PEST Group, focusing on recruiting, selection and staffing, employment, personnel documentation, and payroll administration. This role ensures compliance with federal and state labor laws while fostering an inclusive and affirmative action environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit for exempt, nonexempt, and temporary employees.
- Review, evaluate, and prepare written job descriptions.
- Develop and maintain an affirmative action program for the corporate office.
- Assist in management training of the Affirmative Action plan.
- Prepare government and management reports (e.g., EEO, turnover, VETS-100).
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, and administer salary advances.
- Ensure company compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Maintain personnel files.
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Set up files on all new personnel in the HRIS System.
- Record changes on all employee statuses (e.g., address changes, departmental transfers, rate increases, terminations) and forward to payroll.
- Administer payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Set up and manage employee benefits.
- Run appropriate reports using HR software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Coach all branch managers on labor-related topics.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
