Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated, innovative, analytical, enthusiastic, and positive leader to join our Finance team. The Controller will be an integral part of our executive team that will be expected to manage the finance department and work closely with the President to help execute on the growth strategy of the company. Roles and Responsibilities

The Controller will have support from the Assistant Controller and is expected to manage all aspects of accounting for the company including, but not limited to:

  • Freedom to Identify and improve upon existing system of controls, accounting procedures and company processes – we encourage collaboration and want to support our team to develop the best/most efficient processes
  • Assess, analyze, and articulate the current financial health of the company and provide recommendations on how to improve and drive growth 
  • Work directly with the President and the Private Equity owners to continually refine the operational strategy and execute on the company’s investment plan
  • In partnership with the president prepare the annual budget and re-forecasts
  • Manage the treasury for the business including weekly cash forecasting
  • Develop and issue Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial statements as well as management financials
  • Develop and track key financial KPI’s
  • Lead and optimize A/P, A/R, and payroll
  • Prepare for and manage annual audit
  • Prepare necessary tax documents

 

Position Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Office (excel and ppt) and the ability to quickly learn other ERP systems 
  • Strong technical accounting background - a CPA designation or significant experience working alongside a CPA is a plus
  • 5+ years in a Senior Accountant or Controller Role - a strong background in the service sector is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Finance or Accounting. Master’s Degree or M.B.A. in complementary discipline, a plus
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively/effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent leadership abilities with proven ability to influence and lead a team
  • Self-motivating with strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Critical thinkers who can solve complex problems will excel in this role and organization

 

Schedule

  • Full-time Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm (some occasional weekend work)
  • This position will be expected to work in our Anaheim Office

 

Expected Compensation

  • Base Pay: $120,000 to $140,000 - commensurate with experience
  • Supplemental Pay: Performance and discretionary bonuses
