Pest Control company seeking highly motivated Controller to help with leading financial controls and supporting operations. Controller will help streamline accounting activities and develop key policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Direct oversight of accounting department: Assistant Controller will report directly
-Identify systems of controls and look to improve upon current accounting and company processes.
-Assesses current financial health of company and provides recommendations on new policies and procedures for the President.
-Develop and oversee financial KPI's
-Lead overall functions of A/R, A/P and payroll
-Assist in the annual budget procedures and coordinate on a periodic basis as requested
-Maintain and update chart of accounts as required
-Review and reconcile all banking transactions.
-Issue timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
-Prepare tax documents as required by the executive team
-Provide executive team crucial financial data as requested in order to make strategic business decisions.
-Knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise and ability to adapt and offer up ERP recommendations for improvement as we grow.
Requirements:
-CPA designation or significant experience working alongside a CPA
-5 plus years of experience of senior accounting with strong background in service sector
-Experience with Quickbooks Enterprise and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
-Excellent communication and written skills
-Identify areas of improvement and communicate effectively
-Ability to motivate others
-Ability to work independent and stay on task to meet certain criteria and deadlines
-Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
-Self-driven and cognizant of time management skills
Schedule:
-Full-time, Monday thru Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (some occasional weekend work)
-Office Setting
-Location: South LA County/North Orange County (ability to commute and/or relocate)
