Mission
Generate revenue and happy clients for Fresh Coat in Loudoun County, Winchester and other Northern VA areas. This will be accomplished through in-home estimates / sales consultations to prospective clients, business development & marketing activities, leads will be assigned, generating some of your own leads, bidding profitable projects, and taking ownership of client happiness. There is a great amount of room for growth in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively generate leads & referral sources through business development activities such as BNI group, Chamber(s) of Commerce, cold calling, home shows, and other networking activities.
- Assist in the implementation of various active and passive marketing efforts for assigned territory.
- Meet clients in their homes or businesses for on-site quotes . . . leading to closed, profitable business.
- Represent Fresh Coat in accordance with company Core Values
- Create work orders for projects and maintain contact (including some on-site visits) with clients during the projects.
- Be on hand for most of job starts – coordinate with Project Management team
- Weekly sales meeting with Owner to discuss performance and goal setting
- Perform admin duties in timely manner – lead follow, update work orders, proposals, lead follow up, etc
- Participate in industry events and trade shows
Qualifications
- Proven track record for in-home selling and business development
- Friendly, warm and persuasive personality
- Not afraid of cold calling (some B2B cold calling)
- Integrity and honesty
- Attention to detail
- Experience in or knowledge of construction or painting industry helpful, but not necessary
Work Schedule
- Full-time, exempt. Generally Monday – Friday.
- Availability for some early evening or Saturday appointments helpful during peak season.
- Occasional evenings for networking events such as “Business After Hours”
General Expectations
- Timeliness in response to clients and team members
- Email out proposals the day of the estimate – eventually, present 90% in-home (eventually)
- Efficiently use our technology
- Attend training events and use in home training materials.
- Have accurately written proposals that look professional with great spelling and grammar.
- Attend sales meetings and weekly coaching meetings, update log regularly.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform regular follow up phone calls or emails
