J Ross Painting and Drywall is a fast-growing company in the Tri Cities area of Tennessee (Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol) in the Northeastern part of the State.  

We are in need of skilled painters for commercial and residential jobs.  All candidates with painting experience will be considered but the ideal candidate is a painter with multiple years of experience and has engaged in general painting and finishing residential, commercial and industrial projects.  This includes but is not limited to the following: 

• Reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• The ability to use different sprayers on different surfaces
• Prepare and finish concrete floors
• Remove and install wallpaper
• Glazing windows
• Working with multiple painting products 
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• Valid driver's licenses preferred but not required.

In addition to the hourly pay this position includes performance bonuses, medical, dental, life and vision insurance, uniform allotments, paid holidays and vacation.
