Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of pools and related facilities.
- Thoroughly clean pool surfaces, including skimming of pool surfaces to remove debris.
- Clean and maintain filters to ensure they are free from debris and operating efficiently.

- Test chemical levels and water quality, and adjust chemicals as needed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Vacuum pool floors, brush pool walls, and tiles to prevent algae and maintain cleanliness.
- Inspect pool equipment and systems for signs of wear, leaks, or other failures.
- Report and document maintenance tasks and any anomalies found during inspections.
- Respond to and resolve minor maintenance issues, referring more complex issues to senior staff.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Assist in opening and closing the pools according to seasonal requirements and operational hours.
- Provide excellent service and technical advice to colleagues and clients regarding pool maintenance and care.
- Participate in training and certification courses to ensure up-to-date techniques and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- no experience as a pool technician necessary
- will train on knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, and chemical handling.
- Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting up to 50lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training in pool maintenance is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; owning a truck is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to report back to management and interact with clients professionally.
