Marketing Copywriter

NOTE: This is a remote, work-from-home position but candidates must live in Maryland.

We’re looking for a Marketing Copywriter who has excellent writing and editing skills, impeccable editorial judgment, and a passion for marketing strategies and tactics to join us at RallyBright.

The ideal candidate is a professional who has some prior experience with marketing functions, whether that falls within communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and/or social media. The marketing copywriter must possess meticulous attention to detail and be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once while meeting tight deadlines. This position reports to our Chief of Staff & Chief Marketing Officer, supporting them in existing marketing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and customer goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit and manage content for a rich content program that attracts prospects to our owned properties via blog posts, eBooks, reports, webinars, infographics,product collateral, customer case studies etc.
    • Write/produce and manage RallyBright’s corporate social media posts and presence
    • Review and edit content briefs and all RallyBright blog and website content 
    • Ensure that content accurately reflects the RallyBright brand 
  • Serve as the right hand of RallyBright’s Chief Marketing Officer, partnering with them to ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals
    • Assist in the development of RallyBright’s brand messaging and implementation of RallyBright’s brand strategy
  • Support the tracking and optimizing of programs/campaigns across multiple channels to move prospects and customers down the funnel.
    • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Assist in SEO optimization 
  • Collaborate with other members of our internal teams to develop ideas and materials across product, sales and customer success. 
  • Further knowledge and education regularly through research and education, and share best practices and marketing ideas and tactics with the larger team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammatical and proofreading skills with super-sharp attention to detail 
  • Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role OR demonstrated excellence in writing + a passion to learn about marketing 
  • Some knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Some familiarity with CMS systems, HubSpot, Google Ads, and SEO basics
  • Willingness to dive into data to shape lead-generation tactics  
  • Basic production and design skills, including proficiency in working with PowerPoint. Knowledge of basic Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus. 
  • Some experience in presentation design, and/or sales materials design/production, social assets production, and/or digital/web design and production 
  • Comfortable with startup environments, including high ambiguity and a flat organizational structure 
  • In possession of confidence, high energy, self-motivation, and a team-first attitude 
  • Strong commitment to collaboration 
  • Understand and demonstrate integrity, respect, inclusivity, and the ability to develop positive relationships with managers, customers, and colleagues.
