Transportation/Driver, Non-CDL

Salary Range:  $18.00 - $18.00 hour

Position Summary

The Transportation/Driver is responsible for safely transporting the clients (children with autism) from one location to another.  Work schedule is approximately Monday-Friday, 715am-845am and 315pm-430pm each day..  The clients will have assigned Behavior Technicians with them on the van.  Our center is located at 300 W White Mountain Blvd. Suite A Lakeside, AZ. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meet at appointed locations on time in the morning to drive clients and Behavior Technicians to the center in Lakeside. 
  • Arrive at the center on time in the afternoon to drive clients and Behavior Technicians back to the meeting location or to their homes. 
  • Wash vehicles weekly, more often if needed
  • Inspect vehicles daily for
  1. Damage
  2. Cleanliness
  3. Need for Gas
  4. Needed Maintenance
  • Perform other assignments as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Ability to remain calm while driving and obey all traffic laws.
  • Must live in Arizona or have immediate plans to move to Arizona
  • Must be dependable and honest, performing duties independently with little supervision.
  • Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving vehicle violations in the past 3 years.
  1. A moving vehicle violation is defined as:
  • Improper lane change
  • Speeding
  • Failure to yield
  • Running red light or stop sign
  • No major violation on record within the last 3 years
  1. A major violation is defined as:
  • Reckless or negligent driving
  • Driving while impaired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Fleeing or attempting to elude police officers
  • Driving without a license or while a license is suspended or revoked
  • Hit and Run or failure to stop after an accident
  • Evading responsibility after an accident
  • Ability to abide by Perseus Learning Center’s standard policies and procedures.
 

Established in 2020, Perseus Learning Center was created to help individuals diagnosed with Autism through Applied Behavioral Analytical Therapy, also known as ABA Therapy.  We are a small, family run company and are looking for positive and flexible individuals to help us help the Autistic Communities in Mesa and Lakeside Arizona.
