Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Salary Range:  $35.00 - $44.00 hour

Position Summary

We are a private clinic that is expanding to Lakeside, AZ (near Show Low) that provides Behavior Therapy and Academic Support to individuals with autism.  This position entails a traditional year-round school schedule.  The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst plays a vital role in writing behavior reduction strategies and plans for our clients. They use methods such as reinforcement and conditioning to correct or reduce anti-social behaviors and to encourage positive behaviors. This position could be a contracted or a part-time position, but will typically be within the time frame of 8:15 AM-4:30 PM.  We are also flexible if you are not located in Show Low.  Surrounding areas please apply. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Complete responsibilities related to billing, behavior plans, insurance authorizations, and assessments in a complete, accurate, and timely manner 
  • Work closely with an academic lead to design, develop, and run an ABA classroom based on the TEACCH Autism Program Model
  • Collaborate with the academic lead to create goals and communicate with the academic lead regarding each client’s Behavior Plan
  • Participate in quarterly progress report Parent Team Meetings 
  • Consult the academic lead as needed on creation of quarterly updates to individual Student Success Plans. 
  • Provide direct/indirect supervision to BT’s during 1:1 therapy and provide them with the tools and skills to influence each client
  • Clinically review reports and session notes on a regular basis
  • Provide supervision and guidance for the requisite number of hours to individuals in the process of BCBA licensure, until the required program hours are complete and supervision in this manner is no longer needed for licensure 
  • Provide oversite for and collaboration with the individual responsible for the training and development of staff as needed
  • Participate in the development and delivery of Parent Support Groups once a month in collaboration with BCBA student(s) and CEO. 
  • Provide a monthly 1:1 parent training session that meets specific needs and concerns of individual families. Provide training in whatever setting the parents have the need ie. in the home, out in the community, etc.

Essential Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in appropriate field
  • Behavioral Skills in measurement, assessment, behavior reduction, and professionalism
  • Ability to lead people and develop a team of individuals working together for the same cause
  • Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with individuals and their families, professional support staff, and various level of staff from community agencies
  • Adaptability and flexibility of work times
  • Results oriented.  Align the direction, products, services, and performance in line with the rest of the organization
  • Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all parties of the organization, including management, staff, and members
  • Ability to maintain a calm, non-defensive, supportive attitude during crisis or potential crisis- situation

  • Must be registered as a provider with insurance companies or the goal to be registered with other private insurances
  • Must abide by company policies and procedures and sign confidentiality and non-compete agreement. 
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ABA Software Data Collection Experience (Catalyst, or equivalent software)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. This position involves primarily medium to heavy work. Must be able to carry out duties of frequent lifting/carrying objects between 25-50 pounds.  Job also requires bending, stooping, and getting up and down on the floor easily with clients.
 

Established in 2020, Perseus Learning Center was created to help individuals diagnosed with Autism through Applied Behavioral Analytical Therapy, also known as ABA Therapy.  We are a small, family run company and are looking for positive and flexible individuals to help us help the Autistic Communities in Mesa and Lakeside Arizona.
