Script Writer

Location: Remote: Fully remote

We are looking for an experienced writer that can create scripts for short-form product marketing videos. Scripts are produced after a period of research and learning done by the writers and creative strategists; to understand the pain points, solutions, and benefits of the product we're developing scripts for before writing begins.  This process is often collaborative, with both client and internal project team workshops. Once scripts are complete, writers participate in storyboarding sessions to develop the creative execution strategy for the videos as well.

An ideal candidate is well-versed in using Google Docs and can track changes / edits with ease; experience using the design tool Figma is a bonus, but not required (as we’ll teach you if you don’t know how to use it :)

What your work will entail:

  • Writing compelling and effective scripts for short form (1-3 minute) product marketing videos, informed by project goals and guardrails provided by producers and clients 
  • Adhering to our client’s existing brand editorial guidelines, voice and tone guidelines, and messaging/content strategies
  • Implementing marketing or product strategy through your scripts - via collaborative sessions with the project team; may include delivering several iterations on a theme, or varied options for consideration
  • Collaborating with producers and creative strategists on project needs, deliverables and timelines
  • Bringing a positive, inquisitive attitude to every assignment and demonstrating your talents as a creative thinker and an expert in your craft

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to write compelling, accurate marketing video scripts (focus on product marketing videos a plus)
  • Ability to write compelling content that adheres to client voice and tone guidelines
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong collaboration skills – work effectively as part of a virtual team or in person
  • Can handle concurrent projects and manage time effectively
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Thorough and organized, with outstanding attention to detail 
  • Quick learner who can pivot and adapt as client needs change
  • Willing to provide and receive constructive criticism and make changes based on feedback
  • Ability to keep sensitive client and agency information confidential at all times
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, comfort with adopting use of other collaborative software e.g. Figma
  • Ability to work with basic online project management tools (ours is Teamwork) and collaborative communication tools like Slack


  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience as a marketing copywriter, script writer or content designer 
  • 2+ years agency experience preferred
  • 1+ years writing for SaaS and/or Fintech brands preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in the industry 

Essential Mental/Physical Functions:

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time using a computer or phone
  • Work alone or with others virtually

Required Equipment/Software:

  • Tangible provides licenses for the following, as needed: 
    • Google Workspace (email, Files, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
    • Harvest time-tracking software
    • Slack, Teamwork, or other team collaboration software
    • Figma design tool
    • Mural as needed 
  • Personal equipment (computer, phone, other; e.g., tablet) is provided by each employee; a nominal monthly stipend is provided to cover the use of your equipment. Some client engagements will require the installation of key VPN and/or other software.
