We are expanding our team and service area and are looking for an experienced appliance tech, with 3-5 years experience, to grow with us. 

As a Don's Appliances Repair Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient repair of large household appliances, maintenance, and small installation projects. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced and who can work on refrigerators, ranges, ovens, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, garbage disposal, trash compactors, etc. And has experience working on all major brands including high end models: Samsung, Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE, Sub Zero, Dacor, Miele, Viking, Fisher + Paykel, DCS, etc.

Appliance Repair Technician Job Description

We are hiring a skilled Appliance Repair Technician for our team to assist clients with appliance repair and maintenance needs. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will respond to clients’ calls and identify and fix problems on the site. Additionally, you will install new home appliances in homes and offices, perform maintenance procedures, remove and replace damaged or defective appliance parts, and ensure appliances work properly after the repair.

Your primary goal as an Appliance Repair Technician is to ensure appliances are fixed and installed properly and safely and that clients are satisfied with the results. You should also advise clients on the correct use and maintenance of appliances. In conclusion, the best candidate to fit into our team should have great communication, customer service, problem-solving, technical, and dexterity skills.

Appliance Repair Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

● Inspect appliances to determine the cause of problems and breakdown

● Accurately identify and evaluate problems and damages

● Provide estimates, and timeframes

● Collect payments, maintain paperwork, complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports. 

● Replace defective or damaged appliance parts

● Perform tests to ensure appliances work properly after the repair

● Perform maintenance procedures on appliances. Advise clients on how to use and maintain appliances properly. 

● Maintain inventory of appliance parts, tools, and equipment

● Quick at learning and adept at finding solutions. Are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

● Willingness to be able to assist other techs in the field, be a technical resource for office staff, and work closely with the owners.

● Be able to represent yourself and our company in a courteous and professional manner. 

● Must be able to work independently and unsupervised. 

● Candidates must be tech-savvy, we are a fully mobile company and everything is done online. 

● Efficiently use a mobile phone app to create estimates and invoices, collect payment. 

● Must be punctual, able to stay on route, and reach customers within a designated time window. 

Appliance Repair Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous working experience as an Appliance Repair Technician (Minimum 3-5 years of experience)

• Strong knowledge of repair techniques and installations

• In-depth knowledge of different home appliances and their components

• Electrical knowledge/ability to test electrical circuits 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills 

• Familiarity with industry tools and equipment 

• Must have your own basic appliance tools. We can provide specialty tools.

• Excellent communication and customer service

• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

• Physical stamina and dexterity

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders 

• Outstanding problem-solving

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. 

• Background check will be performed. 

• Long Beach Location - Willing to travel within a 35 mile radius of Long Beach
