We are expanding our team and service area and are looking for an experienced appliance tech to grow with us.
We are currently hiring for our Long Beach location.
As a Don's Appliances Repair Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient repair of large household appliances, maintenance, and small installation projects.
Job Type: Hourly, full time employee
Locations: Long Beach, CA / Murrieta, CA
Salary Range: $22-28.50 per hour. Based on experience.
We are looking for someone with at least 1-5 years of Professional Experience in appliance repair and/or installations
Experience working on all major household appliances including:
- Refrigerators, Ranges, Ovens, Cooktops, Microwaves, Dishwashers, Washers, Dryers, Microwaves, Garbage Disposal, Trash Compactors, etc
Experience working on all Major Brands including High end:
- Samsung, Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE, etc.
- Sub Zero, Dacor, Miele, Viking, Fisher + Paykel, DCS, etc.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Candidate will be tech-savvy, we are a fully mobile company and everything is done online. Gone are the days of paper invoicing. Efficiently use a mobile phone app to create estimates and invoices, collect payment.
- Quick at learning and adept at finding solutions. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
- Willingness to be able to assist other techs in the field, be a technical resource for office staff, and be the owner's right-hand man.
- Must be motivated and PUNCTUAL. Able to stay on route, and reach customers within a designated time window
- Willingness to work occasional evening call (5pm-7pm Service Call) and Saturdays when needed.
- A high level of customer service skills and the ability to establish a good rapport with customers is a must. Passionate about helping others and providing high quality service.
- Ability to communicate with residents, tenants, co-workers, and management.
- Be able to represent yourself and our company in a courteous and professional manner.
- Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in the customer's home.Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
- Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-5 years of experience in appliance repair and/or installations, or related field
- Preferred basic electrical knowledge/ability to test electrical circuits
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industry tools and equipment
- General knowledge of all aspects of appliance repair and service
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. You have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Background check will be performed.
- Must have your own reliable and presentable working vehicle and your own basic appliance tools. We can provide specialty tools.
- Long Beach Location - Willing to travel within a 25 mile radius of Long Beach
- Murrieta Location - Willing to travel within a 25 mile radius of Murrieta
Not Required but will be taken into high consideration.
