 Second-in-Command - VP Level - General Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a unique and dynamic individual to join our team as Second-in-Command at the General Manager/VP level. This vital position will report directly to the President and play an important role in the leadership and growth of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing personnel and overseeing the Sales, Estimating and Project Managing functions of the business as well as aiding and assisting the operational side of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with the President and leadership team to set and execute the company's vision and goals.

-Collaborate with the President and leadership team to formulate and execute policies, procedures, and budgets.

-Implement company initiatives.

-Create long-term business strategies and visions that align with the organizational vision and core ideology.

-Ability to adapt in a small business with ease.

-Manage and assist in the growth of our business, team members and leaders.

-Uphold and preserve the company’s core values.

-Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Stay up to date on industry news.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and employees.

-Handle critical decision-making in the absence of the President and provide regular updates on the company's performance.

-Exemplify Servant Leadership with employees and clients alike.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience at the General Manager/VP level or equivalent, within the construction industry.

Strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record of leading and developing teams.

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

In-depth knowledge of the construction and contracting industry, including sales and operational processes.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
