Painting Project Manager

When a project is estimated and awarded to us, our estimator organizes it and hands it off to the Painting Project Manager or PPM.
The PPM creates the work order, makes submittals to the general contractor, buys the paint materials, and works with and supports our superintendent and field teams to complete the work. The PPM also works with the general contractor on scheduling, scope issues or change requests, monthly draw requests and with our vendor team for paint and equipment needs.
The PPM keeps the job file organized and reports on the status and progress of jobs at the weekly production meeting. The PPM is responsible for the project performance and is paid a bonus based on the financial performance of each job.
Qualifications and Experience:
Good organizational skills, close attention to detail and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel are needed. Good communications skills and working knowledge of commercial construction processes are important.
Experience working on in a construction or trades office is helpful. A degree in construction management or engineering would also be helpful, but not required.
This is not a sales or estimating position. This position is for a person who can manage and process the work, represent the company and the company’s interests and handle responsibility.

Compensation based on experience and ability and expected to be $70,000 to $90,000.
