Hardware Engineer - Autonomous Robots

Be a part of the future of autonomous robots! In this hardware engineering role, you'll be on the front lines working hands on to build a fully autonomous robot, guided by a team of expert software engineers and roboticists from Waymo, Google, BYU, Princeton, and top robotics startups.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed and accurate 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks and utilize 3D printing technologies for prototyping, testing, and optimizing designs for manufacturability.
  • Conduct rigorous validation processes to ensure that all hardware meets performance specifications, safety compliance, and quality requirements, including reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate hardware and software components seamlessly.
  • Create comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and validation reports, ensuring that information is readily available for future iterations and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional experience in mechanical design, robotics is a plus.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and manufacturing techniques.
  • Skilled in rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies and materials.
  • Experience in hardware validation, including designing and executing testing plans.
  • Experience with waterproofing and waterproof certification standards is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, commitment to quality, and problem-solving skills.
