Design Manager:

Globeateliê is in search of a full-time associate to support ideation and management of brand environments for national and global brands, leading project teams and managing client accounts. Candidate must have at least ten years’ experience (fifteen+ preferred) in an architectural firm, interior design firm, in-house corporate design/construction team, or similar setting. This position can flex to individuals from either interior design or architectural backgrounds; responsibilities will be accordingly commensurate with experience.

Location: Columbus OH headquarters (Remote position will be considered for candidates in Eastern time zone) 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead programs with select retail and restaurant/bar clients, serving as key point of client contact while supporting business development (Client Manager)
• Manage internal project teams and schedules on individual projects and/or larger programs and initiatives
• Lead individual projects through all phases, from Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Contract Administration
• Develop designs to scale through various software applications, hand sketching, and materials research
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with clients, participate in and/or lead presentations and project discussions
• Coordinate with internal and external consultants and production team members
• Research project requirements
• Opportunities for continued growth in program management, client management, and design

Required Skills:

• Broad understanding of construction and architectural detailing required
• Experience in project management required
• Retail and/or restaurant experience strongly preferred
• Code research and permitting due diligence experience preferred
• Proficiency in Autocad, Sketchup, Revit and/or Adobe Suite preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Projects, Smartsheets, Excel, Monday.com or other project management/production software preferred
