Salary Range:  $15.00 - $19.00 hour

MH Miles Company is looking for an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for collaborating with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Small Business and Veteran Own Business to build relationships, train, advise, and develop strategies towards their becoming eligible businesses for routine maintenance opportunities with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). This role’s primary function will be to provide administrative supportive services to clients. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staff the GDOT Business Help Center 2-3 times per week.
  • Address client calls and refer client to the appropriate SSFP business consultant.
  • Create Constant Contact marketing materials to advertise training seminars and outreach events across Georgia.
  • Become familiar with GDOT’s overall contracting practices to comprehensively assist firms with taking advantage of GDOT programs and opportunities.
  • Educate, advise and train clients on processes and application requirements necessary to become approved for GDOT routine maintenance projects.
  • Work with SSFP team to collaborate with organizations and agencies to increase the pool of eligible businesses.
  • Manage and coordinate training schedules. 
  • Help develop, conduct, and contribute to in person and webinar workshops for clients.

 Experience and Capabilities:

  • Strong Customer Satisfaction Knowledge.

  • Experience in understanding Invitations to Bid and Responding.

  • Experience with training and developing curriculum.

  • Ability to Utilize critical thinking skills to proactively problem solve including anticipation of issues, determination of solution or resolution, and provide appropriate communication to impacted parties.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines and achieve results.

 REQUIRED QUALITIFATIONS 

  • Associate Degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals and teams.
  • Initiative to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and problems which may extend beyond initial scope of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
