This is a full-time position located at our main office. Candidates should note this is not a remote job, and reliable attendance on-site is essential for carrying out the duties associated with the role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient queries with professionalism.
- Maintain and organize patient records with the utmost confidentiality.
- Ensure that the waiting area remains clean and organized at all times.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Collect and process payments and co-pays from patients.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls to minimize no-shows.
- Manage office inventory and supplies, restocking as necessary.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, family members, and dental staff.
- Uphold the practice’s protocols and policies at all times.
- Participate in administrative meetings to suggest methods to improve customer satisfaction and office efficiency.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times in the office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in Office Management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting is advantageous, though not strictly required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including phone systems, copiers, and fax machines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Flexible schedule, with the ability to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
