Job Summary:

The Property Manager will oversee the daily operations of a multifamily residential complex, ensuring a high standard of living for residents while achieving financial goals. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of property management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
    • Develop and implement property management policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Financial Oversight:

    • Prepare and manage the annual budget; monitor expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.
    • Conduct regular financial reporting, including income statements and occupancy reports.
    • Manage rent collections, enforce lease agreements, and address delinquent accounts.
  • Resident Relations:

    • Foster a positive living environment and maintain high resident satisfaction levels.
    • Address resident inquiries and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
    • Organize community events and activities to enhance resident engagement.
  • Leasing Activities:

    • Oversee the leasing process, including marketing strategies, showings, and lease agreements.
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the local rental market to adjust pricing and marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Maintenance Coordination:

    • Supervise maintenance staff and outside contractors to ensure timely and efficient property upkeep.
    • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Train, mentor, and supervise property staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of property management experience, particularly in multifamily housing.
  • Strong understanding of property management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
