Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with experience in real estate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management on profitability, liquidity, and financial health.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor construction budgets and expenditures.
- Coordinate audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support strategic financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong preference in real estate background.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with property management software and ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
