Job Summary: The Director of Just Multifamily (JMF) will lead and manage all aspects of our multifamily real estate operations. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on unique real estate opportunities, overseeing project development, and ensuring optimal financial performance. The Director will leverage their extensive industry knowledge and leadership skills to drive the success of JMF’s multifamily projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying and acquiring unique multifamily real estate opportunities.
  • Align JMF’s strategic goals with those of The Klotz Group of Companies to ensure cohesive and integrated operations.
  • Create long-term vision and roadmap for the growth and expansion of JMF’s multifamily portfolio.

• Project Management:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of multifamily projects, including site selection, due diligence, acquisition, development, construction, leasing, and asset management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or challenges promptly.

• Financial Oversight:

  • Manage financial performance of multifamily projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial models and analysis to evaluate project feasibility and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of seasoned professionals in sales, finance, construction, and management, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and engagement.

• Market Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning in the multifamily sector.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

• Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive business growth and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement client engagement strategies to enhance client retention and loyalty.
  • Represent JMF and The Klotz Group at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

• Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
  • Proactively manage risks to protect the company’s interests and mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices across all projects.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Advanced degree in real estate, finance, business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIM, CPM, CFA) are a plus.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily real estate, with a proven track record of successful project management and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex multifamily projects from inception to completion.

• Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of professionals.
  • Experience in fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of the multifamily real estate market, including trends, regulations, and best practices.
