We are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician to join our maintenance team. The Service Technician will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our community by performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our residents.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Repair Tasks:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, appliance repairs, and carpentry work.
    • Conduct inspections of residential units and common areas to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and areas requiring repair or improvement.
    • Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring resident satisfaction and compliance with company standards.
  2. Emergency Response:

    • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as plumbing leaks, electrical outages, or HVAC system failures, and take appropriate measures to resolve issues and minimize disruption for residents.
    • Maintain a 24/7 on-call availability for emergency maintenance situations, rotating with other members of the maintenance team as needed.
  3. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, fellow team members, and residents.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and company policies and procedures during maintenance and repair activities.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service logs, inventory usage, and equipment maintenance schedules.
    • Report any unusual or significant maintenance issues to the Service Manager or Property Manager promptly and provide recommendations for resolution.
  5. Customer Service and Resident Interaction:

    • Interact professionally with residents and respond to inquiries, requests, and concerns in a courteous and timely manner.
    • Provide excellent customer service to residents by addressing maintenance issues promptly and effectively, communicating status updates and resolutions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or relevant technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in the property management or multifamily housing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
