Construction Project Manager (Focus on renos)

Salary Range:  $75000 - $100000 year

Position Summary

The Project Manager will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Planning and Initiation:

o Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

o Identify project stakeholders and establish effective communication channels.

o Define project roles and responsibilities and ensure all team members understand their tasks.

· Execution and Monitoring:

o Lead project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that project milestones are met.

o Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

o Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.

· Risk Management:

o Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

o Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle, including safety risks on-site.

· Budget and Resource Management:

o Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with project plans.

o Track project costs and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.

o Allocate resources effectively and ensure optimal utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.

· Quality Assurance:

o Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

o Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

· Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change orders, and post-project reviews.

o Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

· Team Leadership and Development:

o Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

o Mentor and support team members, providing guidance and feedback.

o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.

Qualifications

· Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

o PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.

o Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects, including residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects.

· Skills:

o Strong leadership and team management skills.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.

o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Conditions

· This position requires regular site visits and may involve working in various weather conditions.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle the physical demands of the job.
