TKC Construction Group is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant for our role in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Our ideal candidate has 5 years’ experience in construction accounting.
Additionally, the TKC Construction Staff Accountant will:
- Manage the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup.
- Conduct weekly accounting meetings with the construction/project management/development teams to review upcoming projections/billing matters.
- Set up new projects in Job Cost with budgets and the necessary spreadsheets daily.
- Investigate the project variances and submit these variance reports to the management.
- Oversee and handle the creation and approval of all project-related billings to customers to foster good communication and avoid issues.
- Review project budgets, including fee structures, staffing, and work plans.
- Ensure a smooth cash flow by auditing, generating, and sending billing invoices promptly.
- Prepare consolidated internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Maintain and balance various efforts by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Enter all payables and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- Track and update WIP.
- Follow up and track receivables for timely payments from customers for all development and construction projects.
- Prepare AIA draws and soft cost reports.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
