JOB DESCRIPTION – Construction Sr. Vice President

Position:  Construction Sr. Vice President

Department:  TKC - TKC Construction Group

Reporting to:   Construction President

Location:   645 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, Florida, 32233

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Training, equipping and developing the personnel in their respective positions from concept through completion of construction projects ranging from traditional unit turns to programmatic renovations of complete apartment communities and supporting new development efforts of new construction.
  • Manage teams of project managers, vendors, and laborers
  • Responsible for division gross profit, revenue, earnings, gross margins and EBITDA
  • Responsible for the performance and the development of division staff.
  • Ensuring that working relationships remain positive and communication lines remain open.
  • Identifying performance gaps and mobilizing efforts to close them.
  • Additional duties as assigned or deemed necessary for effective business operations.
  • Process paperwork and update databases, including but not limited to: change order request, RFI’s, payment applications for sub-contractors, provide accurate input on ongoing costs and distribution of costs to the project cost control system.
  • Maintain transparent records and files on projects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely correspondence to all departments on items, which may directly or indirectly affect their responsibilities.
  • Foster good communication between departments by always being available to assist anyone requiring information concerning construction related efforts.
  • Continually identify ways to refine and enhance the workflow process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ Years of Commercial Construction is a must
  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to write effectively
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, analytical talent and attention to detail
  • Experience and passion for real estate development is a must
  • Ability to develop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships 
  • Proven track record for assisting in developing and implementing successful real estate projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills required
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities - Ability to think both strategically and tactically
