JOB DESCRIPTION – Roof Technician

Position: Roof Technician

Department: TKC – TKC Construction Group

Reporting to: Project Manager

Location: 645 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233

Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluating various roofs
Repair, maintenance, and installation of new roofs
Installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems
Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.)
Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs.
Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and others
Critical thinking and working in a team
Contributing to team KPIs
Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times
May be required to go between several locations
Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a roofing technician
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Dependable and ability to multitask and work under pressure
Flexible schedule-On call and weekend rotation
Exceptional communication skills
Self-motivated with strong time management skills, and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrates a positive attitude and always displays a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents and other team members.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
