JOB DESCRIPTION – Roof Technician
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluating various roofs
- Repairs, Maintenance, and Installation of new roofs
- Installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems
- Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.)
- Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
- Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs.
- Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and others
- Critical thinking, Working in a team
- Contributing to team KPIs
- Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times
- May be required to go between several locations
- Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a roofing technician
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable and ability to work under pressure
- Flexible schedule-On call and weekend rotation
- Exceptional communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships
- Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate as a team player
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and always displays a friendly and courteous attitude towards residents and other team members.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
