Defined Role: The Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Policy Making and Cultural Ambassador role is a highly skilled, influential, and extremely motivated person that encompasses endless energy, exemplifies an unsurpassed level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit and has an insatiable appetite for processes and procedures. This role will conceive, create, define, coordinate, document and implement a talent acquisition effort, a set of standard operating procedures, processes and policies and seek to ignite the desired corporate culture, nothing short of exceptional, with the guidance and support of the leadership team. This role will report directly to the CFO with an intense focus to shape and influence our culture therefore creating an environment where our people become transformational leaders and contributors. This change agent will think strategically, with a deep understanding of each of the platforms’ business needs and will be responsible for hiring, managing, and developing a team of high-performing internal recruiters as we scale. Additionally, the candidate will play a pivotal role in visioning and architecting our systems, process, and candidate experiences. The ideal candidate will come from an operations and high growth background, managing outcomes through principled and data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Develop & partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment
  • Recruit passive candidates and gauge chemistry of candidates for performance factors, cultural fit, and motivation rather than simply sell a role
  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high interview-to-offer ratios
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within the mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer
  • Articulate in writing recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process
  • Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Screen, interview and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings
  • Write, rewrite, and publish HR policies and procedures
  • Develop a wide variety of written materials (e. g. forms, procedures, reports, etc.) for the purpose of creating an organization wide set of standard operating procedures, processes & policies
  • Create best practices to develop for policy and procedure updates and a “Best Practice Library”
  • Develops and documents supporting business process information for purposes of decision making, consistency, and alignment, including developing process flow maps for current and future state process improvement efforts
  • Facilitate the process to grow internal cohesion and shared corporate culture
  • Ensure that there is a clear and consistent strategic alignment to facilitate leaders and top management walk the talk to support encourage the organization to free the full human potential of their team
  • Monitor the corporate culture evolution on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the organizations guiding principles, vision, mission, purpose, motto, core values, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer
  • Strong communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team
  • Understanding of predictive hiring methods
  • Meets/exceeds leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Possess highly functioning expertise in whole Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power Point, etc.)
  • Knowledge of standard accounting practices
  • Deep experience with talent recruitment applications
  • Meets/exceeds functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
