Piroshky Piroshky is searching for a full time driver manager that is responsible for the training and ongoing management of the delivery team. The Driver Manager ensures the safe and quality delivery of food and other goods to customers, bakeries, drop off events, catering, whole sale and other 3rd party orders, while observing and enforcing protocols and guidelines set by the company.

This position is based in the company's Kent commissary kitchen, but requires extensive local deliveries as well as in state and out of state travel. This position will directly oversee up to five team members who work together to execute the company's transportation logistics under the supervision of the driver manager. 

Pay: $28.00/hr, full benefits, including:

Responsibilities include :

• Minor and routine vehicle maintenance and immediate 
• Immediate reporting and arranging of necessary vehicle (and equipment ) repair and maintenance in collaborating with maintenance team. 
• Train and oversee performance of driving team, ensuring performance meets and fulfills the requirements and duties in their job descriptions. 
• Schedule drivers according to event/delivery calendar, ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained for all fulfillment needs. 
• Ensure driver team is trained according to proper protocol and procedures for executing all deliveries: local, in state and out of state delivery; catering, store and wholesale. 
• Ensure driver team is properly trained on loading packages on to vehicles for events and store delivery using customer checklist and store order delivery form. 
• Ensure that all vehicles are cleaned and inspected by personnel at the end of each shift.
• Be up to date with weather conditions, communicating the need to alter or call off events/deliveries as necessary with staff safety in mind, communicating  with appropriate management, coordinating with customer service desk if customers or stores need to be notified.
• Ensuring all safety equipment, licenses, registrations are up-to-date in all vehicles, coordinating with maintenance staff as needed.
• Coordinate and communicate all schedule changes with appropriate departments and management.
• Make deliveries and oversee they are made by staff within appropriate time frame, safely and courteously.
• In-State and Out-of-State (including overnight) travel.
• Gather and compile all logs and reports.  
• Ensure all drivers are following all Department of Transportation regulations and safety requirements

Requirements:

• 5 years of managerial experience – leading a time of 5 or more
• Ability to travel (including air travel) with some shifts ranging from 4am – 10pm.
• Ability to set realistic priorities, organizes time, set schedules, meets deadlines
• Ability to provide shift coverage when needed 
• Able to commit at least 40 hours/weekly, with some weeks requiring up to 50 hours . 
• Flexible availability, including overnight, holidays and weekends. 
• Ability to drive in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather, if safe.
• Clean driving abstract with no moving violations in at least 3 years prior.
• Professional experience driving a 16ft box truck or bigger.
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Possess or obtain valid permits and licenses needed for position, keeping current throughout duration of employment
• Maintain accident free driving record 
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Follow all company protocols and procedures.
