Piroshky Piroshky, a PNW based company serving original recipes and handmade products for over 30 years. Our doors first opened in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market in 1992, offering a unique food experience to both locals and travelers alike. We prize the special connection we have with our customers who visit us time and time again. As of 2020, our company now offers a variety of ways for our fans to enjoy our offerings even when they are unable to make it to our bakery. From Pop up spots throughout the state of Washington, and the country, to home deliveries and national shipping. We are excited for the new connections and memories to come.

We are currently searching for a sales and marketing manager as we continue to open new locations, have our products sold in local stores, and expand our national delivery service

The Sales and Marketing Manager oversees and directs all branches of the company that fall under sales, marketing, customer service, and business development. The sales manager plays a pivotal role in executing a customer and client experience that is responsive, knowledgeable and uniform across the company. 

Overview of the company sales and marketing devision:

  • Flagship store - Pike Place market, FOH manager and FOH staff ( around 10-15 individuals )
  • Century Square store - FOH staff of two 
  • Events team, in state and out of state Piroshky drop offs and on site bakes ( 1 manager, staff of around 5 individuals ) 
  • Marketing and social media team ( 1 high lever member, 3-5 individuals ) 

Our administrative offices are located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood and is where this position is primarily held, though some between site traveling will be a normal part of this position. 

The schedule for this position will align with the current goals of the sales and marketing manager, but mostly fall on the weekdays within general day time business hours. 

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Ensures consistency and uniformity in new items, events, and promotions.
  • Lead and work in unison with store managers.
  • Oversee budgets and sales goals, addressing any obstacles and challenges
  • Guide and develop sales management group 
  • Ensure staff is adequately and appropriately trained across all departments
  • Ensure all departments and positions are appropriately staffed anticipating business needs and seasonal/holiday variances, etc.
  • Oversee all online sales within digital customer facing platforms
  • Oversee marketing strategies for entire organization
  • Oversee PR and communicate with media outlets
  • Oversee customer service via digital platforms: social media, reviews, etc.
  • Oversee procurement of new avenues of business, fostering relationships with new and current clients/venues/etc.
  • Oversee integration, implementation, and measurement of the organization’s brand strategy across all aspects of the organization.
  • Oversee customer interaction with all online sales, helping to develop systems and repair deficiencies to improve customer experience.
  • Create, manage, and track relationships with venues, partners, and other vendors
  • Ensure scheduling and posting of events are timely and accurate on both internal calendar, and website 
  • Track and record events/partnerships to provide best cost for event expenses ( i.e., Business accounts for travel, air cargo, etc.) ensuring accounts are set up and accurately and payment methods are established and executed

Experience we are looking for:

  • 10+ Years of Managerial experience of 20 employees or more, at least 2 departments
  • 5+ years experience working in sales
  • Relevant marketing experience
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and overseeing company budgets and forecasting.
  • Experience working in food industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs (MS outlook, excel, word, etc.)
  • Ability to learn, retain information and follow instructions
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong proficiency in MS programs, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Display effective written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and benefits:

65k- 95k per year.

Since starting our bakery at the Pike Place Market two decades ago we integrated the last of the Northwest into our own traditional recipes. Our Piroshkies are individually made from scratch and hand-molded into their very own unique shapes. 

Our central kitchen is located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Here our team works throughout the day & night to produce for stores, catering, pop-up events, wholesale delivery & home delivery.
