Office Manager

Salary Range:  $68000 - $72000 year

Piroshky Piroshky, a PNW based company serving original recipes and handmade products for over 30 years. Our doors first opened in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market in 1992, offering a unique food experience to both locals and travelers alike. We prize the special connection we have with our customers who visit us time and time again. As of 2020, our company now offers a variety of ways for our fans to enjoy our offerings even when they are unable to make it to our bakery. From Pop up spots throughout the state of Washington, and the country, to home deliveries and national shipping. We are excited for the new connections and memories to come.

We are currently searching for an office manager for our administrative office in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Our administrative arm works in tandem with each production and bakery site. The office manager will oversee a team of between 5-10 individuals assigned to various administrative and HR task. It is important for the office manager to be versed in HR  functions, payroll, organizational structure, budgeting and management. 

Hours fall between Monday and Friday 8:00 and 4:00pm,  after hours, and weekends required if there are any outstanding projects or emergency coverage needed that fall under the supervision of the office manager. 

The office manager will also work closely with the company leadership team and owner. 


Specific responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing Accounting , Payroll , IT, Events and HR professionals
  • Developing organizational policies.
  • Managing administrative budgets.
  • Act as a laison between management /employees/facilities/ vendors and leadership
  • Oversee various annual audits.
  • Hiring and training administrative staff.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors.
  • Maintaining corporate relationships.
  • Ensuring up to date compliance of all policies and procedures with all applicable laws. 
  • Overseeing correct and compliant onboarding, lifespan, and termination of employees, maintaining personnel file. Submitting requests for further documentation, when needed. Oversee communication with all government agencies.
  • Obtaining or overseeing all licenses, permits, forms, EIN numbers, tax documents, bank statements, etc needed for multiple companies.
  • Assisting in the opening and closing of legal entities.
  • Accurately Maintain or Oversee Employee Benefits Administration
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings and on-boardings for various personnel.
  • Oversee submission of monthly, quarterly and annual taxes for multiple companies
  • Make bank deposits.
  • Maintain Petty Cash for reimbursement
  • Process incoming and outgoing checks as needed for the company.
  • Collaborate with all insurance re-enrollments, including employee and company policies
  • Setting up of business bank accounts, payroll accounts, L&I Accounts, vendor accounts, etc.
  • Collaboration with multiple legal teams to submit claims, fact check, process new legal documentation, etc.

Experience required:

  • Has minimum of 5 years experience managing crew of 5 or more direct employees
  • Knowledge of HR processes
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping
  • Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong proficiency in MS programs, including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams.
  • Ability to type 50WPM or more
  • Strong attention to details, especially mathematically.
  • Display effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of financials as they apply to cost controls to time management and labor.
  • Keep a delegation attitude. Be able to assess and explore which employees can be trained and tasked with duties and responsibilities.
  • Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of food management systems and is proficient in computer skills
  • Demonstrate integrity and be detail oriented

Compensation: 68k-72k/ year

Since opening our doors in 1992, we've brought a taste of Russia to the Pacific Northwest. Blending traditional recipes with local flavors, our selection of Piroshkies offering a wide array of choices, both savory and sweet. Since starting our bakery at the Pike Place Market two decades ago we integrated the last of the Northwest into our own traditional recipes. Our Piroshkies are individually made from scratch and hand-molded into their very own unique shapes. 

Our central kitchen is located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Here our team works throughout the day & night to produce for stores, catering, pop-up events, wholesale delivery & home delivery.
