Salary Range:  $23.00 - $24.00 hour

A locally owned bakery since 1992, Piroshky Piroshky has been serving Seattle from its historic Pike Place location for three decades. Recently, our company has grown to multiple locations, expanded into robust online sales, and customer delivery-locally, regionally, and events nationwide.

We are currently seeking a part-time Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team! Pay starts at $24.00/hour. This position will be Monday - Wednesday weekly, from 8am-4pm. 


Description: The Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate gathering and submitting of information to complete payroll for all eligible companies. They are in charge of managing benefits provided to employees including Medical Insurance, 401K, Parking Benefits, and more.


Position Duties:

  • Process payrolls submitted from multiple departments and locations.
  • Pull and calculate tips for all qualified employees.
  • Track and use all submitted paperwork for status changes, pay raises, bonuses, etc.
  • Pull timesheet reports and reconcile against management provided reports to ensure accurate payment to all employees.
  • Create and maintain all spreadsheets and organization needed for payrolls.
  • Track employee start dates and benefits eligibility, ensuring timely correspondence and information gathering as an employee approaches benefit award.
  • Track employee PTO/UTO usage and anniversary awards.
  • Providing time off balances to employees or management as requested.
  • Communicating timely and effectively with staff when benefit changes occur.
  • Assisting with communication to employees of policy updates, memos, and other information.
  • Meeting with upper management regularly to assess business needs.
  • Collecting enrollment packets for all employee benefits programs based on eligibility.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Negotiate with vendors and administrators for best plans, options, and rates.
  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Design, recommend and implement, if approved, new benefits programs. Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes.
  • Record all pertinent information regarding benefits, bonuses, raises, etc. within company provided platform.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Oversee the processing of monthly/annual billing for all benefits.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits packages.
  • Design, distribute, and perform benefits orientations and materials, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to management as necessary for the explanation of offered benefits during the orientation process.
  • Regular and thorough audit of all personnel files.
  • Appropriate filing and cycling of all personnel documents in accordance with local and federal laws. 
  • Other various duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 1 year Payroll experience required of at least 50 employees.
  • 1 year Benefits Administration experience required.
  • 1 year HR experience preferred.
  • 1 year Accounting experience preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Self manage time and take all necessary breaks and lunches in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in MS Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Previous experience with both Mac and PC preferred.
  • Ability to type 40+ WPM
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English effectively.
  • Ability to follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols.

Since starting our bakery at the Pike Place Market two decades ago we integrated the last of the Northwest into our own traditional recipes. Our Piroshkies are individually made from scratch and hand-molded into their very own unique shapes. 

Our central kitchen is located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Here our team works throughout the day & night to produce for stores, catering, pop-up events, wholesale delivery & home delivery.
